Facebook Shops, A New Online Store Option For Businesses, Unveiled

The Godfather of all social networks is receiving a new facelift!

Facebook is the #1 social network in the world and serves over two billion users.

And guess what?

It’s still evolving.

This summer, it introduced Facebook Shops to help small businesses sell products online.

Since the coronavirus outbreak began, many small businesses have struggled and have been forced to close because of the lack of advertisement and active customers.

However, Facebook wants to give small business owners hope again by helping them adapt and discover the things they love.

Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, explains the goal for the new shopping establishment is to make shopping seamless and empower anyone from a small business owner to a global brand to use their apps to connect with customers.

“It’s one simple and consistent experience across this family of apps, which means it is easier for people,” Mark Zuckerberg said in a live stream on Facebook. “That of course means there’ll be higher conversions and more sales for small businesses.”

The Shops are marked as a win-win for both the network and its customers because its marketing strategy focuses on advertising and public relations.

“Our business model here is ads, so rather than charge businesses for Shops, we know that if Shops are valuable for businesses they’re going to in general want to bid more for ads,” Zuckerberg said. “We’ll eventually make money that way.”

Linking with other social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter alongside branding agencies Shopify, WooCommerce, and ChannelAdvisor, Facebook is willing to release unnecessary stress from your small business and help you build a profitable business.
